Japan’s Honda Company and GS Yuasa Corporation is jointly funded and run by the laptop battery company “Blue Energy” 21 in Kyoto Prefecture Fukuchiyama City, held a lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant ceremony. The plant will be completed by the end of next year around the fall of production, primarily for the supply of hybrid batteries and other environmentally-friendly vehicles.
Honda to attend the ceremony, president Takeo Fukui said hopefully, “lithium-ion apple battery hybrid technology holds the key to further development. There is no doubt that the world’s first battery factory in the birth.”
