A large smartphone maker, probably Samsung wants to make new aircraft water through a nano-coating. This allows devices to function under water. So says the manufacturer of the coating, HzO.
Besides a deal with a smartphone maker HzO also close to a collaboration with a maker of headsets, says the UK site Pocket-lint on a conversation with a representative of the company. The technology must be “smartphone next season ‘for the first smartphones to find. Ultimately wants HzO do business with all major smart phone manufacturers.
The technology is distinct in that the design of smart phones do not have to be adjusted to make waterproof phones. Smartphones hitherto were waterproof, such as Motorola and Sony Ericsson Xperia Defy Active, had by special waterproof housings and lids are beschemd from moisture. Moisture is known as the biggest cause of damage in smartphones and cell phones.
HzO anywhere on the site explains how the technology works, but says the effect is achieved with a thin layer of chemicals that repel water. That layer is applied to the components, so that no short circuit can make. The layer can therefore not be applied to the user. HzO sells itself existing products of the layer are provided, such as various iPod models, and include the Samsung Galaxy S II and Motorola Razr.
